I danced for years in expensive, patent leather dance shoes, and I tried jazz sneakers and all kinds of other things. While I'm sure that I looked snazzy and could move perfectly well, the pain just got to be too much. After a night of social dancing, I would limp to my car, and limp the rest of the weekend. It hurt like hell. And no one was selling less aggressive dance shoes for someone who wanted to still move correctly but didn't need the streamlined shoe design (with no support whatsoever).Enter Soles2dance. This amazing company has basically made industrial-strength suede-tape, for lack of a better description. I bought myself a second pair of comfortable sneakers, traced them onto the the back of the sheets, and then cut out the sheets, peeled off the backing, and stuck them on. For good measure, I stood in the shoes for 30 seconds and then... boom; perfect new dance shoes.I am now the proud owner of the most comfortable dance shoes in Delaware: New Balance 840s. I didn't even bother to cut/sand off the rubber tread; I just stuck these suede sheets right over top. I carry every day and the adhesive has held up well over the last couple months. There is plenty of material to do two holsters if only applying to one half. In this application it does make it a bit tougher to slide the holster into the waistband if you do have a tucked in shirt as the suede is a bit grippy against fabric but I would still 100% recommend for this application. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to turn any shoe into a great dance shoe for half the price! *by O***L on March 16, 2016* This product worked amazing for my dancing shoes. I am a student at PSU and I am part of the Swing Dance Club. I was always told I needed suede soled shoes, but was concerned about ordering my first dance shoes online. One, they might not fit; Two, they are extremely expensive. As a beginner, this was the perfect solution. This way I could go to the store to by comfortable shoes, and not worry about if they were actual dance shoes. I ended up buying a pair of $80 Naturalizer heels for $20 at an outlet and turned them into some great dance shoes. I saved about $40 and still have great results even though at first I thought this small sheet of suede was really expensive! Although I have been using them very long, the suede is holding up. It was easy to apply and clean. The DIY instructions were a great surprise when I opened my box and definitely made the application less stressful. Also, there is enough to do even more of my shoes or to resole these once the suede gets worn! I would highly recommend this product to any dancer especially for his/her first pair of dance shoes; And it works on any type of shoe!
