It is definitely strong!The red is a true red, not bright red or wine red ---- a good true red.The snaps in the back are adjustable to a certain extent.Downsides:- not for people with thicker necks - im a taller person, so my neck may be slightly larger than average, but I have to wear this on the largest snap for it to fit.
