I have an old Wagner Ware cast iron skillet that I could not find a glass lid for, but this one fit like it was made for it. What made this selection extremely difficult was finding the dimensions for a lid......the manufacturer always gives the outside dimension of the lid (ie: 9 inches) but few other details. My cast iron skillet has an inside dimension (where the inner lip of the lid fits) of 8.6 inches and only because someone answering a question about the product gave an inside dimension of the lid, was I willing to purchase this one.To help others, the dimensions of this "9 inch glass lid" is as follows: the stainless steel rim (fitting on top of the pan/skillet) around the glass is 9.05" at its widest point. The inner ring lip (the part that fits into the skillet and keeps it from sliding off the skillet) is 8.6" at its widest outside point. This inner ring has a taper to fit the slant of the sides of skillets which is 8.4" at it narrowest point inside the ring. The ring width (total depth from the top of the metal rim to the bottom of the metal rim) is 0.66". The inner ring only depth (the parts that fits down into the pan) is 0.33" deep. The handle (including the silicone padding) rises 1.8" above the top of the glass. All measurements were taken with digital calipers and should be closely accurate.I hope these measurements help others to decide if this lid fits their utensils before purchasing it! Mine fits perfectly on my cast iron skillet! Handle was easy to assemble. Annoying.Update: The above review must have caught the attention of someone at House Again because yesterday, there was a replacement lid in my Post Office Box. I didn't ask for a replacement; it simply appeared. It took all of 30 seconds to attach the handle with the enclosed hardware.
