When my 12 yr old Heeler was diagnosed with minor arthritis, I wanted to find a way to reduce her discomfort without pharmaceutical side effects so I began trying different brands and formulations of "natural" pain relief. I've been using VitaPetLife Hip and Joint for a few weeks and have already noticed my dog exhibits less slowness in getting up, more desire to go for walks, and generally, she has more energy. I've used some other homeopathic remedies including some with curcumin but this is the best response out of 4 different brands over the last 1-2 years. After 3 vets in one day (it was a Saturday), turned out over night she developed chronic nerve damage in her lower back and arthritis in her hips and knees more then before. So after getting her to her vet and then treating her for the pain, she’s not on continuous pain meds, I been buying Coco and Luna’s Hip and Joint and UTI supplements and it’s helped aid in a lot. And UTI’s was something my husky was alway getting randomly too and we never could figure out why. Visual blade ultrasound and some labs were able to show she had more then we thought, maybe from even before we got her. But since we stated to get the supplements. It’s been noticeable helpful. Even with pain meds aids. I personally mentioned this brand to others. And if I didn’t like it or thought it was doing something, I wouldn’t keep buying it. (As I recall about dime size but quite thick.) I tried breaking them into a more manageable size but no go. I did grind them up and mix it with food, however, and it certainly did help her joints. My dog is an English Springer Spaniel. **Q: What are the ingredients? My dog can’t have brewers yeast or chicken** A: beside glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM and manganese it contains desiccated liver, microcrystalline cellulose, natural and artificial flavor, magnesium stearate, stearic acid and silicon dioxide. **Q: I have 2 Chibuahuas, weighing 15lbs (all lean no fat), & 2lbs will they be able to chew these?** A: I couldn't say as our dog is a lab retriever, but the tablets are ~ 1/2 inch in diameter so they are good size & solid, not soft chews. Received the product and while the pills are different (actually hard chewable pills) Murray did fine with them. The issue for us is the bottle is only 10 days worth - Murray requires 10 pills a day for his weight - we simply wish you could order a "larger supply" versus just a 120 count. I did notice a difference in Murray as he is more playful and seems a bit more active which honestly surprised me (he had been taking Dasuquin for about 2 years).
