I have never feed my koi with water temperatures below 50. Their cold blooded metabolism will not allow food to digest in their near dormant state, and if they eat in that state ( which ..well they are koi they will eat) it rots in their gut ...serious problem . I use wheat germ in early spring and late fall/ **Q: Could someone tell me how big the pellets are in mm? I'm looking for larger pellets.** A: According to a chart i found on the manufacturers website, the Hikari Floating Wheat Germ Pellet Medium is 5.0 to 5.5 MM. It doesn't seem that large to me.
