The pics are the same.** A: A molle sheath has a snap closure on its back to allow it to slide over the loops of molle system tactical vests, bags, and such equipment. The snap closure has too much length on its strap to be effective for belt wear. If you plan to wear this on a belt and not mount it on molle gear, get the nylon sheath. I decided to buy this one to keep in the car and was so impressed I bought a second one of these a couple of weeks later. The quality, fit and finish are very good. This is a very solid multitool built to last. Frankly, at this price it's impressive. I've also had good experiences with Gerber's lifetime warranty. I sent my old multitool in because the blade started showing rust spots and wear after nearly a decade.
