We stick pen tubes over the axels to extend them. works pretty well. **Q: Are these motors reversible, and if so do you just reverse the polarity?** A: Yes exactly just flip the wires **Q: Can the motor spin freely without current applied like a bearing, but when current is applied, it torques?** A: You can backdrive it, with significant resistance; so it's not a wormgear. But to backdrive it takes about all the force I can comfortably apply with my fingers to the nylon shaft.
