This bat is aluminium, so if you hit any speedy pitches you will notice the vibrations off the metal, unlike a composite material bat. The vibration can be a bit painful on the hands. Since using this bat, I realize I much prefer composite bats. But this bat will do the job for a casual softball player who doesn't want to spend $400 on a composite bat or for younger kids learning to play the game.
