Review: Great Mat! - We have typical Formica counter tops in our kitchen that I didn't want to be kneading bread dough on. So when looking for something to set on our kitchen counter, I didn't like the various boards or stone products you can buy in the store. They were all too small, and too expensive. This product is perfect. It is large with plenty of room for a big pile of dough and flour all around it without getting it all over your counter top. It is rubbery like silicone, and when rolled up, it simply unrolls by itself - and it lays perfectly flat on the surface without anything needed to hold it down. It wants to lay flat and unrolled, which is great. It also grips the counter top and stays in place when you are pounding and kneading dough. The dough doesn't stick to it either. Cleanup was great - all I had to do was wipe it down with a soapy sponge and warm water, and let it dry. When done, all you do is roll it back up. I put a couple of rubber bands on each end to keep it from unrolling. I haven't used it to bake anything on, so I can't comment on that. For it's price - you can't beat this product! You can stop looking now..... buy one of these...… you won't be disappointed!

**Q: Are both sides of the mat non-slip? I want to know if I can use it as a cutting board mat, so that the cutting boards won't slip.**
A: Yes, both sides are non-slip, and would be useful to put a cutting board on top.  This is pretty large as it goes the full depth of my counter top, and wider on the sides.  Worked really well to keep 99% of the flour off my counter with room left over for utensils.  Depends how big your cutting board is whether you need this much coverage.  Very happy with it myself.

**Q: Is this good for pie dough or does it stick too much?**
A: I don’t know about pie dough but I did use it to knead bread dough on and it was perfect, did not stick.  I don’t use my bread board anymore.  A lot easier to clean than a board.

**Q: When you roll this up to store it does it lay flat again once unrolled?**
A: It flattens out totally after being rolled up for weeks

Love this mat! I bought this to replace a jumbo mat by Bake Buddy, which was too thin and split from use of a bench knife. My fault for cutting on it even though I was careful. This mat can handle it! It’s just thick enough to be durable, but not so thick that it’s hard to store. You need to be able to cut noodle dough and can do that (straight down press cut, not slicing) on the Oudisen mat. Pasta and noodle dough is tough to knead by hand, and this mat stays put without sliding around. The surface has slight indents that catch flour so only a small amount is needed. Saves flour! I’ve been using it multiple times per week for months now and it’s like new. Cleans easily enough even though the 20 x 30 inch is awkward in the sink. Rolls up easily, a Velcro band wrapped on it and stores neatly in a corner of my cupboard. Highly recommend!
