It’s true that the ’lavender’ flavor of this syrup is extremely subtle. It doesn’t really smell or taste specifically like lavender to me; I view it as a healthier alternative to simple syrup with a slightly floral aroma. I go the Lavender flavor. I've tried the variety pack including Caramel, Vanilla, and Hazelnut. I use this as a sweetener for my morning coffee. The smell is spot on exactly like lavender. I don't think the taste is quite there though. I appreciate having the sweetener in my coffee but once it's all mixed in the lavender flavor is very light, especially compared to how strong it is when you smell it from the bottle. Mixes in just fine with my coffee, and I do like that it's a large size bottle. I'm glad I tried it, though next time I will go with a more basic flavor.
