There was really no assembly required to speak of. It was folded in the box and he simply unfolded it, tightened and adjusted a few things, and it was ready to go. He had ankle surgery last month and had been using the iWalk hands-free knee crutch, but it puts light trauma on his knee when he walks a lot on it. This steering knee walker offers him smooth and fast transportation around the house. He will be in a cast for several more weeks so it's good to have this alternative for quick trips from room to room. He likes how the brakes lock to keep in it place when needed. It has a nice carrying bag and seems very well-made. I usually wait for reviews before ordering a product but after reading the description, (plus I liked the design AND the price), I was comfortable about making the purchase. I'm so glad I did because it made my husband's day.
