**Q: How many pounds of force can this withstand?**
A: The reason i purchased mine was due to losing keys. I tried to force previous one and was unsuccsessful.remember there is a relatively small gap which reduces the force impact or use of implements to break it. In the end i had to use a crow bar and widen the gap in order to gain access. As a personal preference i used longer screws for added security.

**Q: just what is the purpose of those grey plastic inserts that mimic the holes in the non-swinging part? I can make holes in the bar holes itself**
A: Hi there, there are no plastic parts in this lock. I purchased it and it's all metal and works great!

**Q: The door and the door trim are not flush with one another.  How do I install this lock with this difference?  The lock would be on a slant**
A: My molding was not square either.  I mounted the swing arm to the molding first on the diagonal part of the molding first and then mounted the piece to the door.  On one door I had to use the included shim.  On the other, the door lined up.

**Q: Would this work on a hollow core door?**
A: Yes. The base plate that is installed onto the door is put towards the door edge where there is framework for the screws to be anchored.
