Doesn't matter if the tank is 275 or 330 gallons or what ever as long as it's depth is 42" the scale will be accurate. Also has a scale for 24" deep tanks. **Q: To the customer service department, can this gauge be use with hydrocarbons?** A: Presently using on 275 gal home heating oil tank . . . Seems to be working well and has good accuracy. **Q: Is it vented?** A: This gauge is not airtight but it is does not not have a vent in the conventional sense **Q: Can this be used on gasolene?** A: I don't know if the parts will withstand the gasoline, but one other problem with this gauge is it is not fume tight.
