## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do these use charcoal?**
A: Hello,

Yes, the gas filter cartridges use activated charcoal as part of their filtration mechanism. Activated charcoal is a highly effective material for removing harmful gases and vapors from the air. It works by adsorbing molecules of gas or vapor onto its surface, trapping them there and preventing them from passing through the filter and into the wearer's lungs.
