The dresser is great, the rubberwood (it's a hardwood like maple or oak, just from retired rubber trees, which is an environmental plus) is attractively finished with a rough white texture just like the pictures. The drawers are sturdy and slide well.For a piece of furniture made from environmentally sustainable material (rubberwood, metal, with plastic only in the mechanisms of the sliding rails), the packaging could have been selected better than styrofoam at every edge with sheets on each flat surface. I had two large trash bags full of styrofoam after unpacking.
