One coat gives a thick, shiny coat and it's held up to being handled quite well once it's dry. It does take a bit longer to dry than I expected. I flipped my pieces to coat the underside once they had been dry to the touch for a while but found they stuck a bit when I lifted them later. Gives a great high shine finish with very minimal rust marks.
