**Q: Can you turn off a meal?**
A: Yes, it has a switch at the bottom.

**Q: Can I plug this feeder keeping the battery in case of power loss?**
A: Yes I keep mine plugged in even though I have good batteries in it as well.  I consider the batteries to be back up if power fails.

**Q: Shopping for a new feeder, our current one sticks. Does this one stick as it gets older or does it remain consistent over time?**
A: It doesn’t stick, but the dispenser angle isn’t steep, so food often doesn’t fully pour into the bowl, leading to a backup. I think some of their other models have steeper and more reliable dispensers.

**Q: Does this machine support 240v in areas outside usa?**
A: I do not think so.

Upgraded from the Aqara version, this is so, so much better, built in camera is very good quality, the app is excellent (no subscription required) and easy to use, has a decent capacity and feels durable enough. ### ⭐ Doesn’t dispense reliably

Bought this for feeding two cats. We tested quite extensively and every time the amount dispensed was wildly wrong. We were using Royal Canin kitten food which was within the specs of food it can handle. We wanted 30g per side but even telling it to dispense 90g we only got 30g in total combined. We could never trust it to dispense required amount. The unit looks smart and the idea is great. But not functional in real world application.
