It will not equal your favorite Thai restaurant's, but for an easy to make inexpensive package of noodles you fix at home in 3 minutes, they are quite good & adding some of your own leftovers or fresh veg to them really makes a tasty meal. They are a nice change up from the usual ramen noodles. They are NOT blow your head off spicy, but of course you can add seasonings to make them that way if you like heat. The closest Thai carry out to me is a 15 mile drive and I am beyond the delivery area of the various services. It takes 20 or more ingredients to make pad thai at home, you have to plan for it! **Q: Do they contain meat?** A: It contains shrimp flavor (shrimp powder and salt) and also lists shrimp as an allergen...so yes. It does contain small amount of meat. Make sure to get the firmness you want, rice noodles are better when dropped into boiling water, removed from heat, and soaked iuntil the firmness you wanted. If you hard boil the noodles they can overcook rather quickly and get mushy. Next, drain the excess water. Then add the packets. I also add Thai Peanut Sauce (commonly found in the Asian section nowadays at the grocery store) about 2/3 a teaspoon. And these instant noodles are very close to restaurant flavor. Great for instant noodles which are easy to add meat and veggies.
