I have a new adopted stray who when I started leash training would simply lock up and lay down. The antiquated and frankly awful method was to drag them until they gave in. I can't. I coax her up to a stand with these minnows and then have her follow the treat until she's moving forward well and then pop it into her mouth as she's trotting.
