I will do so as discretely as possible. You've been warned.I use pads at the very beginning and very end of my cycle. At the beginning, I do so because it physically hurts too much to put my cup in. Obviously at the beginning of my cycle, there's a lot of, ah, material, and this particular night I woke up at 3am just /knowing/ why I had waken. I didn't feel wet or anything, but I felt what our nomadic hunter gatherer ancestors must have felt under a moonlit sky knowing they must bury their secretions or lead predators right to them. Carefully, I crept to the bathroom. I turned the light on, and what I saw...let's just say that there were solid bits, and /a plentiful amountof them/. So much of it. It was one of the most physically repulsive things I've ever laid eyes on.But here's the thing.The amount was so much that I was convinced that this was going to end up being a 3am shower and laundry adventure, but this pad. This one pad. It had caught every last drop and none of it had leaked. Not even into the period panties I had worn. Nor was the odor of fruitful loins present, in any capacity.
