It has a nice sheen to it, and the cut is very well tailored. I purchased the military green colored coat, but at times it looks like a chocolatey color that's very flattering. I'm not 5'10, like the model wearing a small...I am 5'5 (on a good day...) and wear a size 12 and the large fits just the way I like: not too baggy, not too snug. Oh, and did I mention its warm and toasty, even on a snowy Vermont winter day? I'd recommend this coat to anyone that thinks a Canada Goose is too expensive, too overrated and too homely. I'm 5'4" 135 and the small fits perfectly. The "mink" version is true to color and very elegant as is the faux fur lined hood which is beautiful and soft and feels and looks like real fur (so rare). The hood frames the face beautifully both up and down. I want to give it a 4 star because the polyester filling makes it get quite hot and it would benefit from a double zipper where you can zip it up from the bottom to sit down because it bunches up pretty badly. The color was more brown than it looked in the picture. The fur was not as soft or nice quality as I hoped. I'm 5'9" and 134 lbs - usually just between a small and a medium. I ordered a small and the sleeves were a little short and it was snug.
