## Description

Carnivorous plants are quite fascinated and are becoming an increasingly popular addition to house plant collections across the country. These plant types are characterized by their ability to attract and lure live prey (insects) into their various traps before digesting them for food! Like other plants, carnivorous plants photosynthesize to create sugars. However, the eating of insects is how these interesting specimen get their various other nutrients such as phosphorus or nitrogen! Carnivorous plants are also unique in their soil needs, which often lacks the common soil ingredients most potting soils incorporate. Carnivorous Plant Soil by Perfect Plants Nursery is the perfect blend of peat moss and perlite. This basic blend creates the ideal soil environment for almost all carnivorous plants!

Review: Disappointed - I bought this stuff because my regular stuff was out of stock. It took a while to get to me and when it did come, it was pretty much just overpriced peat moss.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the ratio of ingredients?**
A: Hi,
The Perfect Plants Carnivorous Plant Soil has 10% Sand, 60% Peat Moss, and 30% Perlite. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you,
Alicia

**Q: How many pots does one bag yield?**
A: I used small PLASTIC not clay. and they each hold probably about one and one half cups. So you should get maybe 15 of this size. Remember to make sure you have holes in the bottoms of the pots as you always water these from the bottom. I'm learning about these every day. I also keep these under grow lights about 12 to 16 hours a day. So far so good.

**Q: Will I need to add sphagnum moss to this?**
A: It already has soil amendments, including peat moss.

**Q: How do i prepare this soil for my vft baby i'm about to repot ?**
A: It is prepared and ready for any type of carnivorous repotting!

I recently purchased the Perfect Plants Carnivorous Plant Soil and used it to repot two of my prized plants—Venus Fly Traps and a Pitcher Plant. After two weeks of use, I must say, this organic premium mix has exceeded my expectations! The soil has excellent drainage and provides a perfect environment for these unique plants to thrive. I’ve noticed that my plants are not only alive but also looking healthier and more vibrant than ever. The mix seems to retain just the right amount of moisture while preventing waterlogging, which is crucial for the health of carnivorous plants.
