The Noguchi Lamp is a handcrafted Japanese rice paper table lamp featuring a 10x10x17 inch oval shade supported by a minimalist metal frame. ## Description

The lampshade is made of handmade washi paper and metal sticks. These lamps are considered icons of modern design of the 50s. Designed in the 1950s, this classic example comes from a later production series that was still largely handmade by the original manufacturer in Gifu, Japan. Features: Japanese style rice paper lamp provides soft atmosphere light, brings peace and zen to space. The lampshade is made of rice paper, hand-assembled with metal ribbing and supported by three-legged metal frame. Dimensions: L 10 in (26 cm) D 10 in (26 cm) H 17 in (43 cm) Includes: 1. paper lamp shade 2. Metal frame 3. LED bulb 4. 6FT CORD WITH ON/OFF SWITCH *PLEASE NOTE BEFORE PURCHASING* - Rice paper products are very fragile, please be very careful during installation. - Because it is handmade, the actual product image and display picture may have some differences, please consider seriously before purchasing.

Review: A very unique and beautiful lamp - This lamp is so unique and beautiful, but also incredibly delicate (like, you could easily and accidentally poke your fingers right through the paper of the lamp). You have to be very careful to not break that paper, especially when setting the paper shade onto the base. Speaking of setting it up, I found the instructions to be absolutely useless and very unhelpful -- that being said, it's not difficult to figure out how to set this thing up; you just have a look at all the bits for a minute and your brain will figure it out rather quick. Super easy setup, and miniature tools are provided in the box to assist in the setup process. The bulb that came with the lamp will cycle through three different colours each off/on you do with the switch, but the colours are varying shades of blue/white light--which I didn't like; it made things look too sterile and white (like a hospital, ick). So, I bought a 40watt e26 base vintage amber coloured led bulb to replace it ... and having a warm toned light bulb truly makes this lamp shine! It also brings a lot of warmth to the room, as well as life. It's also a very calming lamp to look at when you sit and stare off into oblivion after a long and defeating workday. Now, I do think it's rather expensive for what you get ... but ask me if I regret this purchase? Not at all. I am in love with this lamp. The lamp is a piece of art, and I hope it will last me for many years to come. Definitely recommend 🙂🤞

This lamp is so unique and beautiful, but also incredibly delicate (like, you could easily and accidentally poke your fingers right through the paper of the lamp). You have to be very careful to not break that paper, especially when setting the paper shade onto the base. Speaking of setting it up, I found the instructions to be absolutely useless and very unhelpful -- that being said, it's not difficult to figure out how to set this thing up; you just have a look at all the bits for a minute and your brain will figure it out rather quick. Super easy setup, and miniature tools are provided in the box to assist in the setup process.
