Solid construction, feels almost like a professional camera lens. The photo was at a football game and we were in the box seats near the top of the stadium! The arrow shows where the table was I zoomed in on. You will absolutely NEED to use a tripod (one comes with it) or a gyro to keep the picture stable when zooming out. The quality of the phot depends on the cellphone. Mine is an older Note 4. You will only get the distance shown with YOUR cell zoomed out as well. Regardless, it's a high end lens not a junky wannabe. I used this with my Galaxy S8. I get GREAT narrow depth-of-field which is what I bought this for. I set it to it's closest focal length for an object about 50 inches away and I get a sharp image while maintaining a blurry image 8 inches behind the main image. The clip is secured by a non-slip pad and stabilized with a screw that even my big fingers can tighten. The tripod included is easy to manipulate. Follow the instructions and I had no problems at all.
