Because the seal is air tight it’s possible to put things to marinade a couple days in advance without problem. Great for meal prep and preplanning. We use both the bags that it comes with as well as a roll . We have yet to use the attachment to seal mason jars, but plan to in the future. As an entry level vacuum sealer, this seems to check every functional box. It is easy to clean and takes up very little space. It does take a little practice to get the hang of it, especially when you’re dealing with marinades and juicy things. There is a reservoir to catch liquid but it takes a bit of Finesse to determine how big of a bag you need and how much extra space is needed at the top. The roll comes in handy in those cases because the user determines the size . Fortunately, I drip in finesse. We double seal everything but that’s just an abundance of caution. The roll bags for instance, have a different thickness of plastic then the bags that come with the unit.
