The reason for this is that the slit that runs to the opening in the middle of the foam is off to the side instead of centered. If you look at the picture on the box you can see this. I think the shiny side isn't as slippery as lyofoam. Unfortunately this makes it a little harder to put on but maybe I'll get better at it with time. It's worth it if it doesn't slide out. Please kindly restock asap. thank you very much. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Foam vs. Gauze *by M***0 on August 18, 2020* The foam seemed to be the answer to our prayers...my husband cannot change his own dressing due to an old injury to his neck but he can take care of cannula, etc. Using the foam dressing allows me to get away for a few days and know my husband is okay. The size of the pads was off a bit, too much foam at the top and it wouldn't stay in place. I trimmed it (like I would fold a gauze pad) and tucked it into his trach collar and the problem was solved.
