It has additional flaps at the corners and top center where it meets around the windshield mirror . These are easily arranged for almost total blackout once the main deployment and placement is done. CONS: Being all one piece it is a little unwieldy to unfold and fold inside the cabin of the car. We have learned to do it but it took some practice. When taking it down it first folds in half and then twists into smaller loops of the wire framing. The twisting movement aand adjusting the collapsed wire ring to be of a size , again, takes a little practice. Once collapsed we are able to store it under the front passenger seat and retrieve it quite easily. The round cover bag that is supplied, however, for us, proved to be almost impossible to get the folded shade back into. We tossed it. I got it to use in my Toyota Sienna because summers where we live get to over triple digits for most of the summer! It makes such a HUGE difference. Fit: It fits like a glove for my 2024 Toyota Sienna! Usually with these you have to fold down your visors to hold it in place, but not with this, it literally tucks right into the space between the windshield and the trim around it. It also velcros around the rearview mirror for some extra stability! No gaps! I can’t speak to the fit on other vehicles, but because it’s bendy I would assume that it would fit nicely into any windshield that is large like a minivan. Quality/Functionality: I had originally purchased a thicker sunshade thinking I wanted something heavy duty. But it was not functional because it didn’t fold up enough and was so big and bulky. Even though this folds in nicely to a compact flat circle shape that fits into the pouch, it is still heavy duty enough to get the job done. And I love that once it’s folded it just tucks into the gap between my seat and the middle console. And the pouch is a super nice addition because the elastic that a lot of other brands instead use just wears out over and doesn’t keep it folded anymore. Does it work: the most important part IMO, IT WORKS AWESOME! The first time I used it, I noticed immediately the difference in the amount of heat coming into the car through the windshield, and that was before I even got out of my car.
