They are firm, so they hold up your feet well, but are super, silky soft for comfort. They pop right back up after using them. Also, despite the warnings to wait for them to fully expand, I would say these took less than 1/2 hour to be fully functional. They are a beautiful shade of green. I love that the covers have zippers on them so you can wash as needed. At $38.90 right now, these are a good deal, considering how expensive some others can be. These do not have storage, but I didn't need that and the storage ottomans can be less comfortable because of the need to have more structure to contain the storage. I got this pouf for my daughters boho apartment thinking that it was kind of a sage green color but it's more of a celery green. It's not awful and will still look fine with the aesthetic but it's not what I was hoping for as far as color. It came shrink wrapped and started puffing up as soon as I cut open the plastic. I've left it out for several days now and it is fully expanded and seems to be nice and firm. The fabric is soft but I had to fluff it up all over by kind of scratching it so it didn't look smashed from being packaged so tightly. Pretty happy with this, just disappointed in the color.
