I like my fuel to be fresh when possible and this can allows me to take the right amount of fuel without leaving 2.5 gallons mixed waiting to be used. The flow rate is fast, I haven't timed it but I bet it could completely empty itself in 30-45 seconds or less with 3/4" I.D tubing. The size also keeps it easy to handle. I've owned the traditional 5 gallon cans in the past and when they are full the can be challenging to move around let alone fill a fuel tank with.
