This one the mist actually spreads before falling down. My other units don't shoot very high and you can see the mist fall almost immediately. This unit diffuses my entire house. (3 beds, 2 baths).I needed a smaller unit for a desk. This is the perfect size. The glass is thick and heavy but still appears to have arrived with a crack on the inside. The mist isn't consistent in height but it does diffuse well and it's max height is higher than my larger unit. I have only had it for a couple of hours.
