It is so drying and painful that I cannot use it. I have tried using it in different ways over the past two days--applying with the applicator and waiting for it to dry and also applying it with the applicator and blotting it off with a tissue, to use as an undercoat topped with another lipstick or gloss. This is the problem: The liquid settles into the natural vertical lines in the lips (I am not referring to wrinkles above and below the lips, but the lips themselves). It looks extremely unattractive and "patchy" after the liquid dries. When I woke up the morning after using it for the first time, my entire lower lip was cracked in a pattern looking similar to alligator skin. It was very painful, as well.I tried it with a generous coat of lip balm, as well, but that did nothing to alleviate the eventual dryness and chapping. Also, once it is dry, it transfers onto cups, tissues, etc., which is something I did not expect. I put it on prior to eating a meal and later noticed there was color smeared all around my mouth. This just didn't work the way I expected it to. The color, for those interested in trying it, is an orange-red, not a blue-red.I feel bad about this negative review because the company sounds very nice--trying to create beauty products at affordable prices. Indeed, it is affordable, but it did not work for me. The lip stain is easy to apply, it goes on smoothly and dries to a matte finish. It definitely has staying power - it took a little work to completely remove it, so as the name suggests it does 'stain' your lips - a makeup remover wipe took it right off, and I sometimes use a little coconut oil for intense colors and to condition my lips after wearing mattes.
