Got scales dump the plant. On the other hand, if the bug eats the plant, how do you say...adios amigo. **Q: Is this good for the water gnats that come with damp soil Inside?** A: The fungus gnats are really hard to get rid of. Because the larva get in the soil and kill the roots, you may have to use multiple products and be very aggressive. I lost a number of plants this winter-spring because of them. And I still see the gnats around. I’m going to put everything outside and mix up the soil to see if that helps. Good luck. **Q: I must be missing something. How is this used? Is it mixed in certain proportions with water? I’m very confused about how much to use and how to apply** A: This is a systemic bug killer. The label gives instructions on how much to put on the soil on top, and maybe mix it up with the soil on top or add a little more soil, then water. The water dissolves some of the bonide, which moves down toward the roots and is absorbed by the plant to kill any insects on the leaves or stem. If all of the insects are not gone after a couple of waterings you can add more to the soil. My bottle arrived yesterday and it was only 1/3 full. I did contact the manufacturer and they said that is how they ship it. It’s a shame because this stuff is great, but it is very wasteful and they could reduce the amount of plastic used by 60%. This nuked the gnat problem in my houseplants in <24 hours.
