I forgot to put in an ice pack the first day and my boys said everything was still cold at lunch. There is plenty of room for their lunch plus a snack, but is still small enough to fit in their cubby at school. This was the only backpack style lunch bag I could find without feminine print that was this size. Could easily be used by adults looking for a day hiking pack or to take lunch to work.
