Every time I searched I came back to these shelves so decided to purchase them and could not be happier. They did take 2 people to install and the studs in my unit were more like 20 inches apart instead of the 16 inches of the pre-drilled holes. I ended up installing them into 1 stud (2 studs for the branch, and used 3/16 in. x 3 in. Zinc-Plated Steel Toggle Bolt Anchors for the other holes. They seem very sturdy and my cats aren't too heavy (5 and 9 lbs each) so I think this will be secure enough.The cats are really taking to them. They like to scratch on the carpet and when the sun hits the shelves that is their favorite spot. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, high quality and my cats love! *by J***R on Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2018* Overall, love this shelf! You'll love it even more if your studs are spaced evenly and match the predrilled holes. I had to drill my own holes in the wood to drill into studs, which I wish I didn't have to do, but (of course) the studs in my wall are not standard 16" apart. From a few feet away, the three new screws aren't really noticeable and instead of using the six caps for the screws that hit studs, I also drilled holes in the wall using the original holes that came predrilled and covered it with the caps. This way, at least the caps are all on and evenly spaced out where they are intended to be.
