I'm not much of a kite person, but decided to purchase this kite for a week at the beach. Setup is a breeze, and it's held up very well. After the beach week, I threw it in the back of my Jeep and carried it around for the past two years, pulling it out whenever it came up on conversation or my nephew and niece were around. It folds up so small that it fits easily almost anyplace, and it's perfect for someone who wants a relaxing hobby.The quality of the kite is great - it's hit the ground hard on many occasions, been jammed in the back of Jeep for months at a time with boxes and tools piled on top of it, and always re-assembles fine and flies perfectly. Since this is the only kite I've owned, I can't compare and contrast it to other models, but if you're looking for a fun, simple, good looking kite to carry around and take out on a windy day, I can highly recommend this product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Love it, and so did the kids in Africa *by O***E on Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2014* I was looking for a kite to take with me to Africa last summer. I work in an orphanage where I tutor students in English and math and in all my visits, I'd never seen a kite in flight - anywhere. So, I thought this would be a fun surprise. One of our English lessons was a story about kites and only a handful of my 12-14 year old boys had heard of them or actually seen one. So after our lesson, as a bonus for working hard, we ran up to the soccer field and set the Prism into the sky.It worked out great because it sort of looked like the colorful kite in the lesson. The main difference was that this one doesn't have streamers. NOTE: I got the ICE. The video on Amazon shows one with three streamers on it toward the end. Mine didn't come with any.It's super easy to assemble and plenty small enough to fit in a travel bag. The integrated line ring works well, and the easy clip makes setup a snap. The kite flies really well and holds up in strongish winds and even nose-first crash landings into the dust presented no problem.It did what I needed it to. I was hoping the kids would get a kick out of it and that others from nearby villages would see it and get curious as well. It worked. Within 10 minutes there were about 20-30 children from the surrounding areas watching. They clapped and had a blast, but when I tried to offer the line to them, they took off. Mzungoo trying to act crazy I guess.All in all, a fun kite and worth every penny in my book. I might grab a few more to take with me this year. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Very easy to use the first time and stow away is nifty *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2013* Initially intended to get a trainer kite after seeing amazing kite boarders during a trip to Boracay beach last month.After more research decided that mayhap I need to learn just the simple single string kite first before making a big investment.This is a really good kite for what I needed, my 11 year old got the hang of it the first time too. It is easier to have two people for launching, but even she was able to launch it from the ground or by holding it herself unassisted - I guess it just depends on the wind conditions.At this point we cant do anything too fancy with it yet, we are just happy to keep it up in the air for as long as we have. And when it crashes, and it did a lot because we were newbies, it's designed well enough to handle the multiple nose dives.The tip is kept taut by the middle pole only. the side poles actually do not connect to the tip, I think it makes it more forgiving when it crashes this way.The poles are like mini tent poles that bend and only the poles that traverse the kite horizontally detach and fold in half, every else stays in one piece. The storage case is really slick, easy to stow kite away not too tight fitting, and the way you can stow the spool on it is also nifty - it looks so nice you can't wait to fiddle with what's inside it, it beckons you :PKite looks beautiful up in the air - very vibrant. I did learn early to keep my fingers away from the string when its pulling up really fast, not just rope burn but it can cut a little - but that is just inexperience on my part. It was the first thing I warned my daughter about and she managed beautifully, even better than me. Maybe some kind of glove will be good to have in the future and some auto winder thingy (and maybe a folding chair to tie it on as I am resting and ...maybe beer too.)
