Took a minute or so for water to reach right temp dropped in steak, Very quiet and you can see the water swirling in the pot. Two hours later, steak ready to sear. Perfect. Have cooked steak, chicken breast, pork roast, and pork tenderloin in marinaded packs from Walmart, these are great. So far, It works as good as it could. No bells and whistles.
