## Overview

The SAFAVIEH Trace Collection Area Rug (6' x 9') is a handmade, hand-tufted wool rug featuring a medium 0.25-inch pile height. Crafted from 100% premium wool, it offers durable comfort ideal for high-traffic indoor spaces like living rooms and bedrooms. Its versatile brown and ivory tones suit a wide range of décor styles, backed by SAFAVIEH’s 100+ years of trusted craftsmanship.

## Description

The SAFAVIEH Trace 103 collection draws a scroll motif across the field in brown & ivory, a transitional pattern that reads traditional up close and quiet from across the room. Each rug is hand-tufted from wool at a 3/8" pile, level enough for a dining chair and dense enough to recover after weight. Wool resists crushing and everyday soiling, which is what keeps a fine-lined motif from blurring. Trace suits a living room, dining room or bedroom with some formality to it.

## Features

- [DESIGN & PILE]: SAFAVIEH's Trace rug traces a scroll motif in brown over ivory, and its low-profile 3/8" pile is dense and level underfoot in a living room, dining room or bedroom.
- [ARTISANALLY HANDCRAFTED]: Hand-tufted from wool at a 3/8" pile that recovers after furniture and stands up to high-traffic areas, wearing well in an entryway, hallway, home office or foyer.
- [EASY CARE]: Vacuum regularly without a beater bar and blot spills immediately, working inward from the edge of the spill.
- [WHAT TO EXPECT]: Some shedding is normal in a new wool rug and reduces with regular vacuuming. Creases relax within a few days laid flat, and slight irregularity in the outline is normal in a hand-tufted rug. A SAFAVIEH rug pad protects the floor.
- [TRUSTED BRAND]: For over a century, SAFAVIEH has been synonymous with exceptional quality and timeless design, a legacy carried through four generations. From New York, we offer rugs, furniture, lighting, and decor to help you design a space you love.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How do I get my rug edges to lie flat?**
A: Rugs are rolled or folded for safe transit, so creases and curled edges are to be expected. Lay the rug flat, or reverse-roll and the marks will release within a few days.

**Q: Why does my rug look different than the photo?**
A: Because the fibers lie in one direction, the rug appears lighter from one end and darker from the other, with the tone shifting as you move around it. Room lighting and screen settings can also affect how the color reads.

**Q: Why does my rug shed?**
A: A little shedding is normal on a new rug, and it subsides within a few days as the loose fibers work their way out.We suggest vacuuming regularly without a beater bar to help it along.

**Q: Why does my rug smell?**
A: A light scent is normal after a rug has been rolled and wrapped for shipping. Let air circulate through the room and it will fade within a few days.

**Q: How do I clean my rug?**
A: Vacuum regularly in the direction of the pile, not against it, and skip the beater bar. Blot spills rather than rubbing them. Natural fiber rugs should be shaken out to release dirt and debris, avoid wet cleaning.
