I dont rely on these for regular use, but boy do they come in handy for a quick light meal as is, or for use in emergency situations. Basically a meal, ready to eat. Eat it cold or heat it up. Of course heated up is preferred. I recommend trying different ones out. I like the Turkey and dressing one the most, but the meatloaf and mashed potatoes is pretty good. "Good" is a funny descriptor here. We're not talking gourmet. It is shelf stable food. So it is good as far as all that goes. Also, not big portions. If you eat like a bird, this may be enough for you. If were eating it as a dinner, I would need a whole lot more. So plan on having sides with it add volume. Times I eat it as is is when dinner is a ways off, and I hadnt really eaten much during the day. I want something.. but I dont want snack food. This gives me that real food vibe, and doesnt take time or effort to prepare.Keep expectations low and you may find these to be rather delightful.I dont buy them all, and I dont necessarily like them all. But I have a few that I tend to crave, this being one of them. They have A LOT to choose from, in this listing and other listings. I’ve tried seven of the other varieties and they’re okay, but this one is my favorite. It is what it is. It’s a shelf stable food product, so it’s loaded with sodium and other preservatives. These are meant to be an occasional quick meal or snack when you don’t have the time or the energy to cook. Let's be honest...if you are shopping for easy, ready to heat microwaveable meals, you shouldn't expect it to taste as good as homemade unless you like to be disappointed!! However, we bought these for in between meals for our teenaged son, who always seems to be hungry, or for those times when you need to eat but aren't starved or motivated to cook something from scratch.First of all, as I mentioned before, these are shelf stable and do not require refrigeration! Secondly, they are so easy to use and heat up quickly in the microwave (time will vary based upon the strength & power of your machine). There is a large ice-cream sized scoop of mashed potatoes and combined with the meatloaf sliced size with gravy, they are very filling meals. The meatloaf slice was fairly thick and textured to look just like a piece of homemade loaf.
