So far after 3 weeks of watering twice a week with this in a 5 gallon bucket. I've barley started to make a dent. 16 oz could go far but all depends on use and amount of plants watering **Q: Would this eliminate the need to balance the ph in soil?** A: If you start out with r.o. water with Cal mag recharge and have a nutrient line with ph buffering added to it (Advanced Nutrients 3-part system with ph perfect technology)in my experience the ph will adjust itself and maintain a stable ph for one week according to the directions on the bottle however depending on what you add for additional supplements can either increase or drop your ph beyond the stable range depending on the acidity or alkalinity of your additive.
