The bottom bowls themselves are heavier than expected. I found the lids to snap snuggly on the containers. There is a lip on each of the four corners for ease of pulling the top off. Since the information with them said to be careful to keep them away from the highest heat source in the dishwasher, it makes me a little overcautious should a different family member decide to put a piece in the bottom of the dishwasher or microwaving without reading the microwave cautions, and then end up warping it so it can’t be used. I actually got these for organizing non-food items, for which they will be excellent because I can see what is inside. Also they are durable enough to be stacked without breaking under heavier items. Review: Containers look great, but,,,they are not stackable, and lids come off way too easily. Wish I had purchased some other kind of storage containers.
