Or can it work that way?** A: We do not recommend mixing Down To Earth Fish Bone Meal 3-16-0 into water as this fertilizer is too coarse for liquid application. Fish Bone Meal is best used as an in-soil or top-dressed fertilizer. Once in contact with soil bacteria and fungi, it will slowly be broken down and fed to plants. One phosphorus and calcium source you might consider is Seabird Guano 0-11-0. Seabird Guano can be mixed into water, steeped, and then applied directly to plants. **Q: What is the shelf life (expiration)? Does it have one?** A: Never notice a specific date but i would say two ro 3 years **Q: Is the alfalfa in this product organic? because if alfalfa isn’t organic it’s usually gmo** A: I don't know, but am glad you're asking. **Q: Can I use this to make a bid and flower compost tea? How to add and how much per gal?** A: Down To Earth does not recommend the use of most dry, natural amendments in the production of compost tea.
