Review: Better than simple syrup in any cocktail. - We ordered an old fashioned drink at the Saltgrass Steakhouse in San Antonio and it was unique and delicious, different from our normal drinks. I asked the bartender what was his secret and he held up a bottle of Liber & Co classic gum syrup. He used it in place of simple sugar. We found out it was made in Austin TX. I ordered 2 bottles and blew my buddies away with the Old Fashions I made. Just use the same recipe and replace Simple Syrup with This product. You won’t go back👍😎

Adds a silky texture, nice luscious mouthfeel, in cocktails like the Sazerac, Old Fashioned, or Daiquiri. Quicker, and better, than muddling a sugar cube and also better than simple syrup. The small change in viscosity causes the spirits to coat and linger on your tongue a little longer affecting how you taste the drink, in my opinion in a positive way. In the classic cocktail book, "The Fine Art of Mixing Drinks" by David A. Embury, states "the drink will never be any better than the quality of the cheapest ingredient in it". At pennies per drink this is not a big investment to make to complement the quality spirits you're already investing in. My attempt to make my own Gomme Syrup produced undisolvable goop, so I'll leave production to the pros at Liber & Co. from now on. A fine product at a reasonable price.
