If you plug in a US device rated for 120V into a grid for 230/240V, you will likely destroy the 120V device's power supply.There are power converters, about 200W output (about $25+) small enough to carry around, with US plugs but still need a suitable country/region plug adapters.The good news is that many power supplies (especially electronic devices) are rated for 110V to 240V, and a plug adapter is all that is needed. **Q: Does this work for China? I will traver to China and need a Adapter for my computer.** A: Yes it works in China. I was in Beijing and Chengdu, and it worked fine in the hotels there.
