It is awkward to clean the water tank properly. I do run the cleaning process through but still do not feel the actual tank cleans properly. Apart from that we are very impressed with this machine . **Q: does this machine have a cup quantity selector** A: You have to set the cup amount you want to enable the correct amount of coffee to be ground however you only fill the tank to that same number otherwise the whole tank will empty through and you will end up with weak coffee. Thanks Melitta UK **Q: Does the coffee grinder work with the timer or is it just ground coffee you can use when setting a timer?** A: If the machine is set to use coffee beans then the coffee grinder will be chosen when the timer is set. If the machine is set to use pre ground coffee then that is what will be chosen when the timer is set. Thanks, Melitta UK **Q: How long does it take to make coffee?** A: That depends on how much coffee you want to make and therefore the amount of water you put in the reservoir. Minimum is for two cups and maximum is ten cups (cups not mugs). Coffee making speed is the same as that for any filter based machine where the water is heated and passed through a filter containing the ground coffee. We make about 5 cups in the morning and I think it takes about 5 minutes to complete although I have never timed it. Machine beeps when the process is complete.
