The package has a very tiny scoop, about 1/4 teaspoon and this all that is needed in the litter. When I first added it in, I said, this is not going to work. I was surprised that it does work very, very well. Unbelievable for keeping the odor from escaping into the room. One tip, I upgraded to the Advanced Natural Pine Blend, Worlds Best Cat Litter, then I added 2 scoops of Fresh n Purr. I am writing this review only six feet from the open litter box, we have five male cats and I smell nothing at all.
