The 50" high Single Tower has 7 adjustable shelves plus the fixed base. The 50" Double has 14 adjustable shelves plus 2 base sections for storage. Our Media Storage Towers are constructed from heavy duty laminated wood composites. They are framed in molded *MDF (medium density fiberboard) that enables us to trim the weight of our towers by about 30% over original models. They are available in both 50" and 76" heights in all 3 models (Single/Double/Triple). Choose from cherry, oak, walnut, black and white with a matching base. Assembly required. Made in the USA. *MDF, is a man-made fiberboard consisting of wood fibers and resin binders. It is known for its strength and stability. It is uniform in consistency and is knot free. It is structurally more stable than medium weight hardwood and it will not crack. Incredibly easy to assemble with a professional finish that makes it look a lot more expensive than it cost. I have purchased a PrePac unit and never will again. One week after assembling the PrePac, I went back and ordered this one. I now have the PrePac in the garage waiting to give it away.
