I ordered the mermaid design, which is even better in person! We have a five compartment kids bento, and it fits inside this box with a Bento ice pack easily. It has space on the side where you could pack a utensil if needed. The five compartment Bento is 8.5” wide, and the Bento chill runs slightly larger at 8.9” wide. It also fits in the lunchbox nicely with an ice pack. You could fit a small utensil in with it as well. My child took the lunch packed in the Bento five compartment with a Bento ice pack, and it stayed cool all day. It’s lightweight, which is great for kids (and adults, let’s be honest) I will definitely be ordering more!

I love, love, LOVE this lunch bag! I bought it for my son in the third grade to hold his bento fresh box and he has used it every day until this year (his seventh grade year) when it developed a small tear in the corner and decided it might be time for a new one. I came right back here to order another one and found that they are now offered in solid colors! This is terrific because he’s a little too old now for the patterns. If they were offered in even more solid colors or just a line for older kids that would be even better. I love it because it keeps everything cold and it takes up minimal space in his backpack. Honestly, all these new bags with the extra pockets just takes up too much space because if it’s not in his bag, that means it’s getting lost. 😜. This fits our needs perfectly.
