I held up wonderfully, no cracks. I love how the strainer basket catches most of the pulp. Just turn it over and tap it against the pitcher to add the pulp to your juice. I bought this to see if it would help and it has. It makes it easier to hold onto the lemon. The ridges gives you a place to hold while you turn. It does still take some strength but nothing like doing it without this. I get lots of juice from half a lemon. Sometimes you do need to use a better knife to pry the squeeze lemon out of the top but it doesn't take much effort. Its easy to clean and the strainer keeps seeds out of the juice. The reason I dropped a star its because it took a very long time to arrive. Also, when you wash it, theres a bit of water that gets trapped inside the lid,so after i wash it I have to shake it really well. Its not easy to clean HOWEVER....i owned many citrus juicers before and this one is VERY easy to use and its small so you can hide it anywhere you want.
