We wanted something that was much more heavy duty. My daughter is pretty rough and we needed something sturdy to handle the abuse. This easel has been great! It feels like quality, heavy wood and the accessories included are also nice. We will probably only let my daughter draw on the included paper because I hate to clean up and wipe boards... It's a good size and the right height for my 3.5 year old.
