They are 90% as good at less than half the price. Same super comfort and open headphone airiness. They are very clean and natural but not quite as revealing as the Koss. They have good bass with a little too much mid bass for my taste but that could probably be fixed with a mild eq. I actually prefer the cord to/ the fancy cord system on the Koss. With the FIIO's, you can adjust volume and pause from the cable which is really great if you use them on tablet or an iphone. I never had a Sony Walkman back in the day, it was never affordable. The personal stereo I did have, had similar style headphones, but nowhere near the sound quality. I think I just found my go to travel headphones. I dropped one star because the cables from each ear piece seem a lot flimsier than the cable into the 3.5 mm plug. Hopefully this won't prove a fail point. Nice adjustable headband, and the transport/ volume control works well with smart phone, as long as that phone still has the 3.5 mm port.
